Some information about the NAS fom Intellinet NAS-110
Introduction

The NAS (Network Attached Storage) by Intellinet is a useful appliance to store files central in a home-network for a suitable price (~150Euro in 09/2004).
Intellinet provides two different models. One is called 'SOHO SERVER' (Part-No.: 522342) and it includes a router, firewall etc., and the other one is simply called 'NAS' (Part-No.: 522991).
I try to give you some information about the NAS (522991). It looks similar to the "big" model, but some electronik parts left. It has only NetworkAttachedStorage-funktionallity. At the bottom is written "NAS-110"

Features
  • Cross platform file sharing
  • built in FTP-Server: User and share level security (read only & read/write permission)
  • Web based configuration over HTTP
  • Power management for HDD

For a complete list of features/specifications look here

1. NAS-110

2. Top view without plastic-cover

Under the red metal-cover is the place for the harddisc to built in, as shown in Picture 3
3. HDD inside the metal-frame

You can see the red metal-cover from outside even the main cover is fixed. The NAS-110 has a quiet fanless design so I think this is a good way to prevent the harddisk from overheating.
